Welcome to Mad Dogs Hong Kong!

Though the doors are closed and the bar stools empty, the memories of this watering hole still lives on. It was sad and unfortunate to go this way, but due to the recent onslaught of the war and the SARS, Mad Dogs HK just did not have a chance.

We will keep the site up for those who want to remember...

The first Mad Dogs in Hong Kong opened its' doors to the public in 1984. And it never looked back. The success ushered the birth of an international style bar/restaurant Joe Bananas in Wanchai and expanded to Kowloon with yet another outlet of Mad Dogs.

The original outlet was closed down not because it was loosing money but because of the demolition of the building housing it.

Immediately following the closure, Mad Dogs Central was born in 1992. The distinctive victorian theme was changed to what represented the travel motif with artifacts from anywhere Britons were to be found in numbers in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Finally, the last step was taken when Mad Dogs Central was moved to its' present address where the tradition of good service, good food and good fun continues to pull in the dynamic crowd of Hong Kong.
